Passing on the history and memory of the Second World War

One of the key measures of the national plan to combat racism, anti-Semitism and discrimination on grounds of origin is to organize a historical or memorial visit for every pupil at school. To ensure that this visit participates to the learning of history and enables young people to reflect in depth on memory, as well as contributing to the fight against discrimination, it should be part of an ambitious educational project.

The department of Seine-Saint-Denis finances a number of schemes that can be used to run innovative projects, and offers support to project leaders and teachers. The member institutions of Mémoires en Réseau, in turn, offer training courses, school visits and educational packs.
